Darcy Klepec, massage therapist
Offering Swedish, Deep Tissue, Injury Treatment and Sports Massage
Call 509.826.5552 for an appointment
Here's what's offered:
- Swedish - A therapeutic massage where the muscles are massaged using rhythmic strokes aided with a lubricant.
- Jin Shin Do - Acupressure using simple direct finger pressure to help relieve common tensions and discomforts.
- Craniosacral - A non-intrusive technique that evaluates the rhythm of the cerebral spinal fluid through the brain and spinal cord.
- Reflexology - A foot therapy treatment used to stimulate particular points on the feet that relate to points throughout the body.
- Shiatsu - A finger pressure method based on the Oriental concept that the body has a series of energy points. Applying pressure to these points aids in circulation and nerve stimulation.
In what ways is massage beneficial?
Massage benefits the body both physically and mentally. Massage relaxes the muscles, relieves pain, restores metabolic balance, and reduces inflammation by promoting circulation of the blood and lymph.
Massage flushes toxins and the substances that cause muscle soreness through the body's system 50-80 percent faster than the body filters them out naturally.
Should I consult a doctor before getting a massage?
You should consult a doctor before having a massage if you have phlebitis, thrombosis, varicose veins, acute back pain, cancer, heart disease, kidney disease, contagious skin conditions or any undiagnosed pain, lumps or bumps.
You may be asked to obtain written consent from your physician before massage therapy will be performed.
